I'm a special education preschool teacher in New York, lucky enough to be given a year of sabbatical. I'm heading to Belfast to learn from colleagues, and take it all back home with me. I also happen to have my dog with me.

  1. You’ve all done a beautiful job with the space. It looked so inviting. I can only imagine what a safe haven it must feel like for many of the families.

    1. I think they do feel safe there. For some of the mums, it’s the only time they get respite, in part because they trust us with their children. Many don’t have babysitters or nearby family they trust enough to watch the children regularly.
