Today I took a very long walk, down a very steep mountain, into the center of Belfast. Here are some things I saw along the way.
I'm a special education preschool teacher in New York, lucky enough to be given a year of sabbatical. I'm heading to Belfast to learn from colleagues, and take it all back home with me. I also happen to have my dog with me. View more posts

Brooklyn to Belfast
Great pictures, Pam. I’ve never been to the North nor has my Irish born mother. Maybe one day…Today (8/31) is Van Morrison’s birthday. He was born in Belfast. Maybe, there’s a tribute to him somewhere in the city. Cheers!

I love Van Morrison, and have only recently found out he was born in Belfast… I didn’t know today was the day! You should definitely take a trip north; I’ve only been here 2 days, but it feels different than other places I’ve traveled to so far. xo
